Luanne Kay Busscher, 73, of Borculo, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 26, 2026. She joins her parents, Edward and Ella Kloosterman, her father-in-law Kenneth Busscher, her granddaughter Grace Busscher, her brother and sister-in-law Dan and Deb Kloosterman, sister-in-law Karen Kloosterman, and brother-in-law Wayne Busscher.
Luanne was born January 25, 1953, in Zeeland, Michigan. She graduated from Holland Christian High School in 1971. She met Jack Busscher on the schoolbus to and from Holland Christian and they eventually married on December 13, 1974. Luanne and Jack raised their four children at their home in Borculo. Luanne was a lifelong active member of Borculo Christian Reformed Church, having served on a number of committees, singing in the church choir, and participating in a number of mission service projects. Luanne also worked for Meadow Ridge Greenhouses for many years and was instrumental in the family deer processing business.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Jack, their children and grandchildren: Jody and Bill Broekhuizen (Nicole & Isaiah Uitvlugt, Emily Broekhuizen, Sydney Broekhuizen), Tami and Ryan Miedema (Samuel & Maddie Miedema, Rachel Miedema, Jack Miedema & his fiance Jordyn), Brian and Kathy Busscher (Jackson, Greyson, Lydia, Evelyn), Todd Busscher (Chase, Karston, Hoyt, Savannah), siblings: Carrol and Jim Granzo, Scott and Lisa Kloosterman; mother-in-law Wilma Busscher, and Jack’s siblings: Larry and Peg Busscher, Val Busscher, Nancy and Norm Hoekstra, Kel and Kim Busscher, Rita and Jeff Austhof, Mark and Ruth Busscher, and many extended family members.
The Busscher Family wishes to extend a special thank you to the caregivers of Anchor In-Home Care for their wonderful care they extended to Luanne.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, July 30, 2026, at Borculo Christian Reformed Church, 6464 96th Ave., Zeeland MI 49464. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 pm, Wednesday, at the Yntema Funeral Home, 251 S. State Street, Zeeland MI 49464. Interment will be in Borculo Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Borculo Christian School.
