LANSING MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The anticipated refund for Michigan drivers via the state’s Catastrophic Claims Association (MCCA) will become a reality next year.
The organization announced that it will refund $400 per vehicle to Michigan residents, per the request of Governor Whitmer earlier this year.
The MCCA has a projected five billion dollar surplus, and determined that it could refund approximately three billion dollars and still maintain enough funds to care for auto accident victims.
The checks will be sent out in the second quarter of 2022.
