HOPKINS TWP., MI (92 7 WHTC, Nov. 4, 2026) – A driver suffered serious injuries following a two-vehicle crash northeast of Hopkins on Wednesday evening.
No names, ages, or hometowns of the motorist involved were disclosed by the Allegan County Sheriff’s Office, as first responders were dispatched to the intersection of 130th Avenue and 18th Street around 6:50 PM. That was where an eastbound pickup apparently failed to yield to a southbound pickup truck, causing a collision.
The driver of the at-fault vehicle was taken to a “local hospital” for treatment, while the driver and a passenger in the other pickup were not hurt. It was initially believed that seat belt use was a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
