HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Oct. 2, 2026) – It’s time for another parade through downtown Holland.
The 44th annual Fire Truck Parade begins on Friday evening at 7 PM, as all forms of apparatus heads west along 8th Street, from Columbia Avenue to the Heeringa Holland Civic Center Place, according to Holland Fire Marshal Bret Groendyke.
The Fire Truck Parade, which helps spotlight the national Fire Prevention Week that will go from October 4th through the 10th, is put on by the West Michigan Fire Prevention Council, with the recently-retired Holland Township Fire Department Captain Jim DeGraff serving as the grand marshal.
This is one of seven annual parades through downtown Holland, including the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, the Kinderparade and Volksparade during the Tulip Time Festival, the Memorial Day Parade, the Labor Day Truck Parade, and the Downtown Holland Parade of Lights.
