HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Sept. 30, 2026) – One person was killed, and three others were hospitalized following a violent Tuesday evening crash on Holland’s North Side.
According to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office, a northbound SUV was traveling at a high rate of speed along Butternut Drive shortly after 7 PM when it collided with a southbound Jeep looking to make a left turn onto James Street. The force of the crash apparently killed a 62-year-old Holland woman who was a passenger in the Jeep, while a 62-year-old Holland man, who was also a passenger, had to be airlifted to Corewell-Butterworth Hospital for treatment. The driver of the Jeep, a 22-year-old Holland woman, along with a one-year-old boy, were also hospitalized, while the driver of the SUV, a 36-year-old Holland woman, was not hurt.
