ALLEGAN, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Sept. 21, 2026) – The November 3rd General Election is looming.
With voters being asked to head to the polls six weeks from Tuesday, absentee ballots will be mailed out by this coming Thursday to voters who have already submitted a request, as those going to overseas electors should have already been sent out this past weekend.
Although the ballots have already been printed, there has been a surge of interest among those wishing to be a last-minute candidate, according to Allegan County Clerk Bob Genetski.
The deadline for write-in consideration is October 23rd, on the eve of the start of the nine-day early voting period, which runs from October 24th through November 1st.
