SALEM TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Sept. 2, 2026) – An 81-year-old Overisel man, being sought as an “endangered person,” has been found safe.
Family members and friends had not seen Paul Wayne Hardin since driving away from his residence, in the vicinity of Lilly Court and 140th Avenue, around 1:50 PM on Tuesday. He has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease, and it was believed that he may have been headed to West Olive, or to Kenosha, Wisconsin. Hardin, who has about a half-inch long white beard, was last seen wearing a white-grey shirt, blue jeans, and a welding cap.
Around 9 PM on Tuesday, he was located in Grand Haven, and with the help of the Grand Haven Department of Public Safety, Hardin was return to his family, with no further details as to the circumstances which led to his discovery. Both that department and the Allegan County Sheriff’s Office have expressed their gratitude to the public for their help on this matter.
