HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Aug. 13, 2026) – Although summer doesn’t end on the calendar until September 22nd, the season in downtown Holland is winding down this week.
On the heels of the last Holland American Legion Band concert on Tuesday evening, moved to the Heeringa Holland Civic Center Place from Kollen Park due to weather concerns, comes the last Downtown Street Performer Series session on Thursday night, as 8th Street will be blocked off from Columbia to River avenues. Over 25 artists are slated to participate.
At the same 6:30-8:30 PM time, Gentex and Latin Americans United for Progress will team to present a Block Party at the parking lot outside of the Civic Center, according to Kara de Alvare with Downtown Holland.
There is also the last Skate, Blade and Scoot Thursday at the Holland Ice Park, and the final performance of the Summer Concert Series at Kollen Park is on Friday evening, featuring the conjunto band Los Estrellas de Oro.
