GRAND HAVEN TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Aug. 8, 2026) – A 73-year-old Holland man was critically injured following a motorcycle-versus-pickup crash south of Grand Haven on Saturday morning.
No names were disclosed by the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office, as first responders were dispatched to the area of US-31 and 152nd Avenue just before 11 AM. That was where, to quote Sheriff’s Sergeant Jon Knott’s report, “The motorcycle operator was forced to lay the motorcycle down, and subsequent slid into the side of the pickup truck,” which had entered the highway from 152nd Avenue and into the path of the motorcycle.
The biker was taken to an unnamed “area hospital” for treatment, while a 46-year-old West Olive man, driving the pickup, was not hurt.
The incident remains under investigation.
