Neva Miller, age 92, of Burnips, entered her heavenly home on Saturday, February 14, 2026.
It is with deep sorrow and immense gratitude for a beautifully lived life that we remember a truly beloved mother, Gram, Nannie, and Gigi, Neva Miller. She was a person of love, strength, and kindness, and her presence brought comfort and warmth to everyone who knew her.
She found joy in life’s beautiful details. She loved jewelry, treasuring each piece for its sparkle, but also for the memories and meaning it carried. Her warmth shined brightly in her kitchen where she made the best pies. Those pies were more than dessert; they were expressions of her love and bringing family together. Christmas was especially dear to her heart. She loved her ornaments, choosing each one carefully and filled with meaning.
Though she is no longer with us, her love surrounds us still. In every treasured ornament and every memory held close to our hearts. As mom, she was a guide and protector. As Gram, Nannie, Gigi, she was a source of comfort and unconditional love.
Neva was born in Hudsonville, on March 11, 1933, to John and Marguerite Sawyer. Neva married her high school sweetheart; Keith Miller and they shared more than 67 years together.
Neva is survived by her children, Brad (Kris) Miller, Stacey (Gary) Dozeman; grandchildren: Kyle (Heidi) Miller, Aaron (Susan) Miller, Gunnar Dozeman, Sadie Dozeman; great-grandchildren: Alexis, and Paige Miller, Henry, Andrew, Scarlett, and Valerie Miller; her brother and his wife Bob (Shirley) Sawyer, and her in-law, Ginger Sawyer, Roger Miller, and Merle Immink, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Neva was preceded in death by her husband Keith, her grandson, Joshua Miller, her siblings and their spouses, Mavis and Don Emelander, and Jack and Evelyn Sawyer, Lyle Sawyer, her in-laws Phyllis Immink, and Donna Miller.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, July 31, 2026, at Salem Township Cemetery (Burnips). The Miller grave site is located on the Eastern side of 30th Street in Salem Township Cemetery.
Neva’s family would like to thank the staff of Appledorn Assisted Living Center and Optimal Hospice for the loving care she received.
