Kay Lynn was born in Holland, MI November 19, 1940 to Claude and Murial (Klooster) Perry. She married Charles Hayes on August 24, 1973 and was a lifelong resident of the area. Kay Lynn fought a lengthy battle with cancer, and enjoyed traveling with family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, son, Mark DeWitt, and great grandson, Bryce A. DeWitt.
Kay Lynn is survived by her husband Charles; sons Kirk (Julie) DeWitt, Chad (Rebecca) DeWitt and Keith (Mary) DeWitt; step children Todd (Diane) Hayes, Marcy (Mike) Powell, and Bob Hayes; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren; and many extended family and friends.
A service to celebrate Kay Lynn’s life will be 2:00pm, Saturday, August 1, 2026 at Lakeshore Memorial Services, 11939 James St., Holland. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Saugatuck.
Visitation will be from 1-2:00pm, Saturday prior to the service at Lakeshore Memorial.
