GRAND HAVEN TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Jul. 22, 2026) – A 54-year-old Grand Haven man suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries after his motorcycle crashed with a SUV south of the Ottawa County seat on Wednesday morning.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Jon Smoes, the unidentified, helmeted biker was southbound on 172nd Avenue shortly after 10 AM, when his machine collided with the larger vehicle, which was pulling out of Timberview Drive, south of Robbins Road. He was taken to a Muskegon area hospital for treatment, while the couple in the SUV – an 83-year-old man behind the wheel, along with his 75-year-old wife – were not hurt.
The incident remains under investigation.
