PARK TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Jun. 26, 2026) – The Holland Waterfront Celtic Festival and Highland Games hope to catch a break.
The fifth annual event, which celebrates and shares the Lakeshore’s Irish, Scottish, Welsh, and other Celtic heritage in what organizers say is a fun, spirited, and celebratory way kicks off on Friday evening with a seven-hour Ceilidh, featuring music, dance, food, and vendors geared for those 21 and older. On Saturday, there will be 14 hours of family fun, including more than 50 athletes competing in traditional Scottish games.
The past two years, temperatures in the mid 90’s kept attendance down, and festival director Craig Rich is hopeful that a milder forecast of near 80 will bode well for the event.
The Holland Waterfront Celtic Festival and Highland Games are being staged at the Ottawa County Fairgrounds (1286 Ottawa Beach Rd.) in Park Township.
