HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Jun. 9, 2026) – Another sign of summer in Holland arrives on Tuesday evening.
It’s the start of the weekly American Legion Band concert series, at the band shell in Kollen Park. City Manager Keith Van Beek is among many who enjoy the sounds from this current group of musicians, who are continuing a more than a century-long tradition.
The free concerts run on Tuesday evenings, weather permitting, through August 11th, with all but one performance set for Kollen Park. Due to the National Night Out festivities on August 4th, the band’s concert will be held then at the Heeringa Holland Civic Center Place. Attendees are highly encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets for seating along the waterfront.
In addition, a separate weekly free Friday night concert series at the Kollen Park band shell begins on June 12th, running through August 14th, with a holiday break on July 3rd.
