GEORGETOWN TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, May 19, 2026) – Two motorists were hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash near one of Ottawa County’s busiest intersections on Monday afternoon.
First responders were dispatched to 44th Street, just west of Kenowa Avenue, around 1:30 PM. That was where a 21-year-old Wyoming woman, driving her sedan westbound, slammed into an eastbound minivan attempting to turn left into a driveway which accessed a fast-food restaurant and an apartment complex.
The 73-year-old Hudsonville man in the minivan was taken by LIFE EMS to University of Michigan Health-West in Wyoming in serious condition, while the woman went to St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Rapids for treatment. Their injuries were not initially believed to be life-threatening.
No names were disclosed as the incident remains under investigation.
