ALLEGAN TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, May 15, 2026) – It was a report Thursday for the Allegan County Board of Commissioners.
During its biweekly business session, held at the County Services Building off of Dumont Lake, the governing panel received the annual wellness report, as well as the quarterly update, from the county’s health department. In addition, Sheriff Frank Baker had his recap of 2025 for his office, citing a focused effort in reducing risk and liability by managing it better.
Commissioners also approved a change in the wording of the August 4 primary election senior services millage renewal proposal to reflect a millage reduction fraction calculation. Voters will be asked to continue this levy at .4753 mills, with a first-year estimated revenue collection of over $3.7 million.
