HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Apr. 17, 2026) – A expansion project that “makes sense” to one Holland City Councilman has broken ground.
When work on overhauling Resthaven’s Maple Woods Cottage campus off of East 32nd Street near Central Avenue, which ceremoniously began on Thursday, is complete next spring, an additional 24 residents will be housed. The $2 million project, funded through philanthropic support, cleared a zoning hurdle last July when Mayor Pro Tem Scott Corbin, whose parents are residents of Resthaven, and his governing panel colleagues unanimously approved a rezoning request.
Future plans in Resthaven’s Renewing Our Legacy campaign include removing a church structure, and eventually, replacing the current Maple Woods building with a new facility.
