WAYLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Apr. 6, 2026) – The search is over for a 13-year-old girl who went missing on Sunday evening in northeast Allegan County and apparently is trying to stay on the run.
According to the Allegan County Sheriff’s Office, Zohe Elizabeth Pierce was reported missing from her home in Hopkins around 8:30 PM. She was spotted by a deputy at a Wayland residence about an hour later, but the girl fled on foot when the officer appeared, and further attempts to find her failed.
Around 7 PM on Monday, Pierce was found in Wayland by deputies, aided by numerous calls to Central Dispatch with tips as to her location. No further details were disclosed as to where she was found, or other circumstances surrounding her disappearance.
