SAUGATUCK, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Jan. 26, 2026) – Two items of annual procedure are before the Saugatuck City Council during Monday night’s biweekly business meeting.
One is establishing municipal license renewals for 2026. Those fees will be increasing by 2.7 percent, based on the hike in the consumer price index, as calculated by the US Bureau of Labor Statistics.
The other is establishing the rates for leasing 10 municipal boat slips at Wicks Park. No increase in these fees are expected, with residents paying $1,900, and non-residents $2,100. Priority is given to residents, with any remaining after that are made available through a lottery system. Last year, nine of the 10 slips were leased.
The Saugatuck City Council’s 6:30 PM session is in the second-floor meeting room of city hall (102 Butler St.). An online link to the agenda and supporting documents is here.
