Grand Valley State swept a pair of games from Parkside in Kenosha last night. MacKenzie Bisballe scored 17 points as the Lakers won the women’s opener, 66-47. Ethan Alderink tallied 17 points with 10 rebounds as the men beat the Rangers in the nightcap, 77-67. GVSU teams are in Chicago for another hoops doubleheader tomorrow afternoon against host Roosevelt.
In state major-college basketball this evening, Ohio State is at Michigan.

Kirill Kaprizov’s second goal of the game, coming 45 seconds into overtime, lifted the Minnesota Wild over the visiting Red Wings in St. Paul last night, 4-3. Detroit skates in Winnipeg against the Jets tomorrow evening, with broadcast time at 6:45 PM on WHTC Holland’s Cool FM.
Oliver Moore scored in the sixth round of the shootout, as the Blackhawks outlasted the Carolina Hurricanes in Raleigh last night, 4-3. Chicago returns home to welcome the Tampa Bay Lightning to the United Center this evening.
