GRAND HAVEN TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Dec. 23, 2025) – A 61-year-old Grand Haven man suffered a serious injury following a single-vehicle crash into a tree south of the Ottawa County seat on Tuesday morning.
According to Sheriff’s Sergeant Jon Knott, the unnamed motorist was driving a sedan northbound on 178th Avenue near Brucker Street around 10:30 AM when he apparently lost control of the vehicle, which then veered off of the roadway and struck the tree. A Grand Haven Township Fire Department crew helped the driver out of the vehicle, and Trinity Health Ambulance staffers took the man to an undisclosed “local hospital” for treatment.
No other details involving the circumstances surrounding the incident were immediately revealed as the investigation into the matter continues.
