HUDSONVILLE, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Dec. 10, 2025) – A three-vehicle pileup on the northern edge of Hudsonville around dawn on Wednesday hospitalized one driver.
No names were disclosed by Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Chris Armstrong as he and other first responders were dispatched to Balsam Drive near Elmwood Park Drive, between Chicago Drive and Port Sheldon Street, around 7 AM. A luxury SUV was southbound on the icy roadway when it lost control and slammed head on into a northbound SUV, which was then hit from behind by another SUV.
The driver of the luxury vehicle, a 53-year-old Hudsonville woman, had to extricated by rescue workers and was taken to a “local hospital” for treatment, while the 32-year-old Jenison woman in the northbound SUV, with a two-year-old girl as a passenger in the back seat, suffered bumps and bruises. The third driver, who was not identified, was not hurt.
It took an hour for crews to handle the injured and clean up the scene, as the incident remains under investigation.
