PARK TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, May 3, 2025) – A 50-year-old Park Township woman and three children that went missing from their North Side neighborhood earlier this week have been located and are safe.
Michelle Lynn Olszewski and her youths, aged 14, 10 and eight, had not been seen locally since she took them from their school on Wednesday and apparently left the state. According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Detectives, a rental car taken out in her name, along with the family’s belongings, were located at a hotel in the Mishwaka, Indiana area.
Ms. Olszewski has had a history of “mental instability,” and authorities in the Hoosier state say they have found evidence of where the car and belongings that they believe may indicate that there has been another episode.
Besides the mother and three children, a family dog, which is a Shiba Inu breed that is medium sized, with golden brown and some white in color, is apparently with them.
UPDATE: On Saturday evening, the Sheriff’s Office was notified that Ms. Olszewski and all three children were located in St. Louis, Missouri, and have been placed in protective custody. There was no mention of the dog in the latest statement.
