HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Feb. 25, 2025) – The spoon is being put away, for the time being.
On March 16th, Holland’s Gateway Mission will “pause” operations at the Gateway Spoon Cafe and Grill off of East 24th Street and US-31. Open for nearly 18 months, the eatery not only served breakfast and lunch on Wednesdays through Sundays, but also served as a training center for culinary arts students in the Mission’s program through an agreement with Creative Dining Services that is set to expire next month.
Jason Parks of the Mission said that the ministry will use the upcoming break to determine what course of action it plans to take.
The culinary arts program will be shifted to the men’s center off of West 7th Street and River Avenue.
