Margaret Van Huis Pyle, age 93 of Zeeland has finished walking her earthly journey with Jesus Saturday, December 28, 2024, and Jesus has now led her to her heavenly home.
She was born in Beaverdam to Frank and Rolfiene DeBoer on October 28, 1931. Her love for God and people was consistently demonstrated throughout her life in her care and service to her family and others. In church, she served as a teacher and worked on kitchen and social committees. For several years, she was a 4-H sewing club leader. Most recently, Marge volunteered in the cafeteria at Zeeland Hospital and as a mentor for The Bridge Youth Center. After her children were grown, Marge enjoyed employment at Mead Johnson/Bristol Myers.
Marge is preceded in death by her husbands, Bob Van Huis and Elmer Pyle, by her grandson, Tony Bouwman, her stepson, Terry Pyle, and by her sisters and brothers and their spouses, Frieda and Rudy Van Dyke, Jeanette and Harv Palmbos, Herm and Anna Mae DeBoer, John DeBoer and Marian DeBoer Kuipers, and Frank and Bernice DeBoer, and brother-in-law, Don Van Huis.
She is survived by children, Peggy (Mike) Zylstra, Cheryl (Terry) Bouwman, Paul (Susan) Van Huis, and Cyndi (Dirk) Pyle, and seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren, and stepchildren Gloria Pyle and Deb (Tom) Oonk, and sister-in-law, Shirley Van Huis.
Visitation will be 4-7 PM, Thursday, January 2, 2025, at Yntema Funeral Home, 251 South State Street, Zeeland. Marge’s funeral service will be 12:00 noon, Friday, January 3, 2025, at Faith Reformed Church, 220 West Central, Zeeland. Marge’s funeral will be live streamed and can be viewed at https://faithzeeland.org/watch-listen/. Memorial contributions may be given to The Bridge Youth Center or Faith Reformed Church Youth Mission Fund.
