SAUGATUCK, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Dec. 19, 2024) – The end of the first semester in Academic 2024 along the Lakeshore is also the end of an era at Saugatuck Public Schools.
Friday is the last day on the job for Dr. Tim Travis, as his seven-year tenure as the district’s superintendent concludes with his retirement from education after nearly four decades of service. While he plans on spending more time with his family, Travis looks ahead to the future of public education.
Travis’ successor as Saugatuck Superintendent, Mark Neidlinger, was looking more towards the near future.
With Neidlinger’s promotion, the district announced this week that Melanie Moorer will become the interim principal of Saugatuck junior-senior high when classes resume on January 6th.
