Julius “Zuke” Stanley Eding, age 93, went to be home with the Lord on December 1, 2024.
Zuke was born September 9, 1931, in Hamilton, MI and lived most of his life there as a chicken farmer. He met his sweetheart, Merilyn, at the skating rink and together they raised their family on the farm. His retirement years saw him move to North Fort Myers, FL as a “snowbird” each winter, where he quickly became a beloved figure at Fountain View.
A Charter Member of Haven Reformed Church and pillar of the Hamilton community, Zuke was known by everyone, everywhere. He will be forever loved and greatly missed by his family and friends. Nothing would make him happier than to know that we remember him with joy and laughter.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Merilyn Jean in 2011, his second wife, Donna (Siebelink) in 2014, his daughters, Lynda Lou Eding in 1954, and Gwen Bopp in 2023, his granddaughter, Julie Lynn Eding in 1985, and his great-grandson, Adler Grey Nichols in 2021.
