SPRING LAKE, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Nov. 4, 2024) – A 62-year-old woman was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle around dawn on Monday in Spring Lake.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Chris Dill, the unnamed pedestrian was looking to cross North Lake Street around 7:30 AM, stepping in the marked crosswalk, when she was hit by the vehicle that at first stopped at the intersection with East Exchange Street, and then attempted to turn left. The motorist, a 22-year-old Spring Lake woman, immediately called 911 for help, and the pedestrian was taken to Trinity Health in Muskegon for treatment of apparent internal injuries.
No names were disclosed as the incident remains under investigation.
