LANSING, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Oct. 22, 2024) – The city of Zeeland is in line for some more cash from Lansing.
The Michigan Department of Transportation, in partnership with the state Office of Future Mobility and Electrification, has awarded that community $35,000 to install rapid flashing beacons along Main Avenue. It’s part of a total $6.5 million distributed statewide in the Shared Streets and Spaces Grant program that aims to improve public spaces for health, mobility and commerce through shovel-ready projects.
Zeeland’s bid was among 27 selected in this competitive annual program that saw 69 applications submitted.
