David McNeely, age 69, of Holland, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, October 11, 2024.
He was born on August 31, 1955 to Ellis and Rosie McNeely. He was the youngest of four siblings. He attended West Ottawa schools and multiple trade schools to become an electrician. He was also a pilot and loved flying his Cessna and Ultralight airplanes.
David was dedicated to his family, friends, and church. He was a member of New Richmond Baptist Church. He loved tinkering, listening to music, playing the banjo, and reading the Bible. He was always compiling music and pictures for family and friends.
David is survived by his children; Melissa and Andy Kuiper, Matthew and Stacy McNeely and Elizabeth and Josh Brace; grandchildren, Griffen Kuiper, Madelyn Kuiper, Caleb McNeely, Brian Carlson, David Denning, Aubrey McNeely, Ella McNeely, Eli McNeely, and Skylar McNeely; sisters, Audrey and Allen Field, Pat Field, and Linda Rose.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ellis and Rosie McNeely and his brothers in-law, Bruce Field and Bob Rose.
The family would like to thank Dennis Olson, Thorne Brown, Pastor Frank Senters, and his close neighbors for looking after him and supporting him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at New Richmond Baptist Church on Friday, October 18, at 4:00pm, 1909 Transport Lane, Holland, MI 49423.
