HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Oct. 10, 2024) – The benefits of having municipal power along the Lakeshore and elsewhere is spotlighted during this Public Power Week.
On Thursday, from 5-7 PM, the public is invited to a free open house at the Holland Energy Park, with a theme of Energy Vampires that can lead to increased costs. There will be yard games, scavenger hunts, a lantern-lit, three-quarter mile accessible trail, and dinner and snacks for all who attend.
Holland BPW General Manager Dave Koster explains the benefits of municipal power.
Space is limited, and registration through this online link is encouraged. A customer appreciation day is on Friday, from 10 AM to 4 PM, at the BPW’s offices (625 Hastings Ave.).
The Zeeland BPW has a similar open house in its facility today, from 4-7 PM, at 350 E. Washington Ave.
