Hope College teammates Addie VanderWeide and Lauren Lee have been selected as the MIAA Women’s Volleyball Athletes of the Week.
The duo led the second-ranked and unbeaten Flying Dutch to a 3-0 record at last weekend’s MIAA/NCAC Crossover at Calvin University.
VanderWeide is the MIAA Volleyball Athlete of the Week for the first time this season and the fourth time in her career.
The senior outside hitter and business major recorded over nine sets against Denison University (Ohio), Ohio Wesleyan University, and Wittenberg University (Ohio) a total of 37 kills (.400), 4.11 kills per set, 13 digs, two service aces, one solo block, and 40.0 points.
Lee (Plymouth, Michigan / Skyline) is the MIAA Volleyball Specialist of the Week for the second consecutive week and the seventh time in her career.
Over three matches, the junior setter and biology major totaled 107 assists (11.89 per set), 24 digs (2.67 per set), 12 points, 2.0 blocks, nine kills, and two service aces.
Lee currently leads the MIAA with 11.00 assists per set.
