HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Sept. 5, 2024) – Another example of the home of Holland’s iconic symbol not lying dormant after Tulip Time came on Thursday night.
Despite some rainy conditions, a good crowd was on hand at Windmill Island Gardens for the annual Art on the Island Gala. Local artists displayed the beauties of the municipal park in the categories of photography, plein air, and best of the rest, with their works available for sale, and patrons voting for a People’s Choice award.
It’s another way to utilize the park, according to City Manager Keith Van Beek.
Upcoming events include Smart Gardening presentations from the MSU Extension Service on Wednesday from September 25th through October 9th; a Fall Fest Artisan Market on October 4th and 5th; and the Christmas holiday Magic at the Mill on Friday and Saturday evenings from December 6th through the 21st.
