Joel Vickers passed away on August 23 at age 67 from unknown causes. His kindness, sense of humor, insatiable curiosity, and love of life were only part of what made him so loved. And now, so missed. Joel is now reunited with his parents and his sister Becky.
Born in Valparaiso IN, Joel fell in love with sports as a boy, ultimately honing his skills on the Varsity basketball team at Valparaiso High School. He also played college ball at Savannah University. He was a true all-sport fan. He also loved to read and was one of the world’s great movie buffs.
After earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology, he received a doctorate in 1991 from National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, Illinois. He spent the next twenty-eight years practicing Chiropractic and Applied Kinesiology in the beautiful city of Holland, Michigan. He was a perpetual learner, always enthused to discover something new about the human body so he could use it to help someone have better health.
