GUN PLAIN TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Aug. 15, 2024) – A dangerous hazard for motorcyclists goes on four legs, as a biker in southeast Allegan County found out on Wednesday evening.
According to Sheriff’s Sergeant Bernard Austhof, deputies and other first responders were dispatched to the area of 106th Avenue and 3rd Street after 8 PM. That was where the unidentified motorcyclist, heading eastbound, had been thrown from his machine after striking a deer that had been crossing the roadway. The biker was taken to an undisclosed “local hospital” in critical condition.
No other details were immediately revealed as the incident remains under investigation.
