HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Aug. 5, 2024) –Tulip Time joins the fun of Fall Fest! Fall Fest will be hosted by Downtown Holland on Friday, October 4, and Saturday, October 5, 2024. Downtown Holland has invited Tulip Time to be a part of the Fall Fest fun with three activities: community tulip planting, the Fall Artisan Market, and a special concert by the local band, Michigan IO.
Every year, the City of Holland Parks and Recreation department plants hundreds of thousands of tulips throughout the city – but it takes a village to get the work done. Every year, locals and guests alike come out and plant over 75,000 of the bulbs that will pop up in the spring, welcoming the world to Holland to take in the awe and beauty of Holland’s world-famous tulips. This year, Tulip Time has invited J. Schwanke from Life in Bloom and Maranda from WoodTV8 to be a part of the tulip planting on Friday, October 4.
Tulip Time is once again organizing the Fall Fest Artisan Market hosted at Windmill Island Gardens. The Fall Fest Artisan Market is a juried craft show, ensuring all vendors sell unique, hand- crafted wares. All vendors will be local to the West Michigan area. There are an expected 75 vendors for 2024. The Fall Fest Artisan Market will be hosted on Friday, October 4, from 12 pm to 5 pm and Saturday, October 5, from 10 am to 5 pm. There is a $5 admission fee to enter the island.
For the first time, Tulip Time will be hosting a concert as part of Downtown Holland’s Fall Fest. Tulip Time welcomes Michigan IO to the Knickerbocker Theatre on Saturday, October 5, at 7 pm. Michigan IO is a local Michigan band dedicated to reviving, recording, and performing folk songs that flourished in Michigan and the surrounding Great Lakes region in the late 19th century.
