GRAND HAVEN, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, July 30, 2024) – Brian Hoffman is trying to keep the memory of a 20th Century comedic genius alive in the 21st Century.
A one-time trucker, door-to-door salesman and used-car salesman has, for the past 15 years, taken his comedy skills and resemblance to comedian Red Skelton to establish himself on a one-man tribute show at the Red Skelton Tribute Theater in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, as well as on the road.
Although it has been 27 years since Skelton’s death, Hoffman is always sharpening his skills by going over past audio and video performances of the legendary entertainer.
Skelton was also one of a dying breed of “clean” comedians who didn’t need to talk trash in order to get a laugh.
Brian Hoffman’s Red Skelton Tribute show comes to the United Methodist Church of the Dunes in Grand Haven (717 Sheldon Rd.) on Wednesday afternoon for a 3 PM performance. Tickets are $27 and are available now online at amber@centralparkplayers.org or call 616-229-0530.
