HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, July 16, 2024) – The search is on for a Hispanic man, about 5-10 with a tall, heavy build, and short black hair.
A clerk at the West Shore Mobil Mart off of Riley Street near US-31 on Holland’s North Side gave that description to deputies who responded to an apparent armed robbery around 3 AM last Thursday morning (July 11). The suspect, wearing a black jacket, a black t-shirt and athletic shorts, entered the establishment, approached the counter, indicated that he had a weapon, and demanded money. After handing over the monetary contents of the cash register, the suspect walked out into a parked vehicle nearby and drove away. The clerk was shaken but not injured.
On Tuesday, the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department released several images with this statement: “The Sheriff’s Office Investigative unit has continued the investigation and is following up on several leads. Video surveillance has been obtained and are attached. There have been several images capturing the suspect entering the store and exiting. The suspect is seen leaving in a small grey Ford SUV.”
Anyone with any information on this matter is asked to contact the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department or Ottawa County Silent Observer (877-887-4536).
