With great sadness, we announce the passing of Julia Beltran, a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, on July 11, 2024, at the age of 90. Julia was born on July 29, 1933, in Rio Hondo, Texas. However, she was a long-term resident of Holland, Michigan.
Throughout her life, Julia dedicated herself to her family. She worked at Wellers Nursery and was a devoted homemaker, always putting the needs of her family before her own. Her kindness, compassion, and generosity inspired many, and her legacy will live on through the many people she touched.
Julia is survived by her children Ricardo (Elizabeth) Beltran, , Stella Beltran Gould, Anita (Gualberto) Rodriguez, Margarita Beltran, Maria Elena (Jose) Gonzales, Sixto Jr (Rita) Beltran, Carlos (Gracie) Beltran, and Christina Guajardo. She is also survived by her siblings Gregorio Guajardo, Alicia Ysquierdo, Guadalupe Guajardo, and Martin Guajardo.
Julia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Sixto Beltran, her siblings, Hortencia Garcia, Angelita Beltran, Irene Guajardo Treviño, Olivia Niño, and Jose Guajardo, a grandson, Angel Paul Peña, and great-granddaughter, Angel Marie Castillo.
She leaves behind a large and loving family, including 25 grandchildren, 66 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren, who will deeply miss her warmth, love, and guidance.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 171 West 13th Street, Holland, MI 49423. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Tuesday July 16 at Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 East 16th Street, Holland, MI 49423. Additionally, there will be visiting at church prior to the funeral beginning at 10:00 AM on Wednesday.
Julia’s family would like to extend their gratitude to all those who have supported them during this difficult time. Your love and prayers are deeply appreciated. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
