He was born in Holland on Jan 22, 1948. Larry married the love of his life, Lois, on April 8, 2004. He worked at Hart and Cooley for 41 years and was a member of the American Legion Post 6 for 52 years. He was a member of American Legion’s Squadron 6, VFW, Eagles and the Moose Club. Larry proudly served his country in the United States Army.
Larry was the kindest man and he always had a way of putting a smile on your face. He was just a fun person to be around and touched many lives, young and old. He will be greatly missed!
As a true BLUE University of Michigan man, Larry was a football season ticket holder for 51 years. He was also an avid golfer and loved to fish, especially for walleye or perch. He enjoyed turkey, duck, and deer hunting. He was in a local bowling league for over 25 years. Larry loved to shoot pool and was a member of the American Legion Team for many years. He also enjoyed playing Euchre, Poker, and Texas Hold’em with the guys. There was always a little wager on the line. He was also a master on the grill!
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald & Lois Mae Ramaker.
He is survived by his brothers and sisters in law, Mark & Barb Nagelkirk, Tom & Pat Riemersma, Roger & Sandy Klynstra; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on July 11, 2024 at Community Reformed Church. Visitation from 10:00am – 10:45am and the funeral at 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation or to the American Kidney Fund
