LANSING, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, July 1, 2024) – As the fair season in Michigan is already underway, concerns about the bird flu effects on 4H presentations of poultry, dairy cows and more continue.
Beginning on Monday, fairs will be able to have such exhibitions with restrictions on preventing the spread of avian flu. Republican State Senator Roger Victory, a commercial farmer from Hudsonville, has been a very interested observer of this situation.
The first of four fairs along the Lakeshore was last month with the Berlin Fair in Marne, with the Ottawa County Fair in Park Township on July 22nd through the 27th; the Hudsonville Community Fair from August 19th through the 24th; and the Allegan County Fair in Allegan from September 6th through the 14th.
