Stu is survived by: his wife of 60 years, Beverly; son Mark (Julie); Daughter Shelly (Rob) McCormick; Grandchildren; Rylan and Olivia McCormick; Brothers, Larry and Ron Woldring; sister in laws, Judy (Mike) Zuverink, Karen (Doug) Ter Haar; brother in laws, Roger (Dana) Lugten, and Ron Lugten. Along with several nieces and nephews.
Stu was preceded in passing by: Mother and Father, John and Julia Woldring; Brother, Don Woldring; Sister in laws, Myra Woldring, Sandy Woldring, and Lovie Woldring. Mother and Father in law Jim and Sarah Lugten and brother in law Larry Lugten.
Stu worked for General Electric for 26 years, part time at Gates Electric and at Hamilton Schools for 11 years. After retirement he had his best job of helping to raise his grandchildren which were the light of his life!
Stu loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, trap shooting and trapping were among his favorites. Stu also had the best gardens and was proud to share his harvests. Growing tomatoes was his favorite. These skills were passed along to his family, especially Mark and Rylan. He also had many dogs and “grand pups” through the years, Stu loved dogs and they loved him too.
Visitation with the family will be held on Sunday, June 30 from 4-7 pm at the Hamilton Reformed Church 3554 Lincoln Rd. Hamilton, MI.
Celebration of life service will be held at Hamilton Reformed Church on Monday, July 1 at 11 am with Pastors Larry Le Poire and Ron Lugten officiating.
The family would like to thank Dr. Batts and his team at Holland Hematology and Oncology for all the expert care given over the past 22 years.
Memorial contributions can be made to a charity of one’s choice for curing cancer or the Hamilton Rod and Gun Club.
