JAMESTOWN TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, June 18, 2024) – An 18-year-old Hudsonville man was hospitalized after crashing his motorcycle southwest of his hometown overnight on Tuesday.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Cassie Tolman, deputies and other first responders were dispatched to 48th Avenue near Quincy Street just before 6 AM. The spotted the prone machine off of the roadway, and the unnamed rider in the ditch. It appeared that the helmeted biker was trying to negotiate some curves in the roadway, near the I-196 overpass, when he lost control of the motorcycle. The man was taken to U-M West Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
The incident remains under investigation.
