SAUGATUCK, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, May 31, 2024) – For the second time in as many days, there was a ribbon cutting ceremony along the Lakeshore.
Following Thursday’s unveiling of Ottawa County’s Family Justice Center was Friday’s opening of the Village Square Playground in downtown Saugatuck. The $337,000 project was supposed to be unveiled in April, but a lawsuit filed by the Maplewood Hotel, adjoining the site off of Butler and Main Streets, pushed back a community build effort by a month. That litigation was quickly settled between the city and the bed and breakfast entity.
