HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, May 2, 2024) – Although the official start of the 95th Tulip Time Festival isn’t until the runners take off for the Tulip Time Run at Kollen Park on Saturday morning, the unofficial beginning is on Thursday night.
That’s when the youth and adult Dutch Dancers hold their first dress rehearsal at Centennial Park. Festival Dutch Dance Program Coordinator Jenn Ryckbost has two major issues that needs to be addressed annually.
The youngsters promenade at 6:30 PM, with the older dancers stepping out a half hour later. Another dress rehearsal at the park is on Friday evening, while the Carnival opens just outside of the Heeringa Holland Civic Center Place about the same time, and the Tulip City Open Pickleball Tournament commences on Friday afternoon at the MVP Athletic Club.
