OLIVE TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Apr. 26, 2024) – A semi-annual national effort to get expired and unused prescription/over the counter drugs out of circulation safely is set for Saturday.
Funded by the US Department of Justice’s Drug Enforcement Administration Diversion Control Division, the 26th National Prescription Drug Take Back Day runs from 10 AM to 2 PM local time, with no questions asked. Many jurisdictions also accept used sharps for proper disposal, as this initiative aims to educate the public about the potential dangers of abusing medications.
Ottawa County Sheriff Steve Kempker talked about this program during a Friday appearance on “WHTC Talk of the Town.”
