Tom graduated from South Haven LC Mohr high school in 1982. He is the son of George and Mary (Dell) Sobkowiak. Tom worked at the Clark gas station and Waterland convenience store before landing a job at Polynesian Pools in Holland. This is where he met the love of his life Tammy Redder. Tom had been employed by Tennant in Holland for the past 34 years. Tom and Tammy raised one son Michael Redder who gave them the sunshine of their days, their grandson Charlie Redder.
Tom is preceded in death by: his parents, George and Mary Sobkowiak; and his older brother, Richard Sobkowiak.
Tom is survived by: his wife, Tammy of 33 years; son, Michael Redder; grandson, Charlie; three sisters, Margaret Dratz, Helen (Curtis) Smith and Dorothy (David) Lockwood; brother-in-law, Robert (Cheryl) Schaub; sister-in-law, Mary (Terry) DeJonge.
A visitation will take place on Saturday April 20th, 2024 at 10am at East Saugatuck CRC, 3815 56th St. Holland, MI 49423. A funeral service will be at 11am on Saturday April 20th at East Saugatuck CRC, followed by a lunch with a time of fellowship.
