A man of faith, love, and a great sense of humor, Glenn will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Glenn loved his family, and had a special way of making each and every grandchild and great-grandchild feel as if they were the apple of his eye, his one and only. Glenn enjoyed spending time with family and traveling, spending 26 winters in McAllen, TX. He had a contagious smile that could light up any room and loved making others laugh. Glenn was also known for his strong faith, and was a member of Beechwood Church with his wife Judy for over 60 years.
Glenn was preceded in death by his infant great-grandson Sebastian Lampen; brothers Les (Anis) Timmer and Jay (Alice) Timmer; sisters Donna (Preston) Vanderslik, Carole Sas, and Betty Graham; as well as brothers- and sisters-in law Len and Lois Smit and Ken and Eleanor Oosterbaan.
Glenn is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Judith Timmer; children Lori (Dave) Lampen, Michael (Bonnie) Timmer, and Rick (Laurie) Timmer. Grandchildren are Jeffery and Chelsea Lampen (Lorelei, Caspian, Evander, & Sebastian), Jacob Lampen, Cassie and Andrew Beadle (Eli Glenn), Tiffany Timmer (Miles, Avery, Sawyer, Wrigley, & Pacey), Ashley and Andrew Moody (Evelyn, Clara), Mallory and Derek Barret (Asher, Genevieve), Sydney and Santiago Murillo (Luca, Oliver), Emily and Sam Sisler, Grace Timmer, Ezekiel and Teran Timmer (Wrenley), and Zane Timmer. He is also survived by sister Marilyn Timmer and in-laws Betty (Stan) Raak.
Services for Glenn will be held at Beechwood Church – 895 Ottawa Beach Rd., Holland, MI 49424. A visitation will take place on Thursday, April 18 from 6-8 PM at church, and a funeral service will be held on Friday, April 19 at 11:00 AM. Private burial will take place at Pilgrim Home Cemetery.
