Glenda Huisingh, age 87, of Zeeland, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2024.
Glenda was a dear loving wife, mom, grandma, and great-grandma. Much of Glenda’s life was dedicated to her daughter Pat and providing her with excellent care. She was lifelong member of Borculo Christian Reformed Church, where she was baptized, made profession of faith, married Del Huisingh on November 10, 1954, every family baptism, and where her funeral will be held on Saturday.
Glenda was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Del, her daughter Pat Huisingh in 2017; her grandson Austin Huisingh in 2019; and siblings: Jack (Joyce) Lamer and Gary (Linda) Lamer, and brothers in law: Jim Huisingh & Johnny Huisingh.
She is survived by children: Paul & Kris Huisingh (Stacey & Joe Deters, Gavin, Adler), Stefanie & Andy VanderKooi (Kaitlyn, Alyssa, Aiden), Rod & Kris Huisingh (Blake & Ashley, Ava, Carter, Arianna); brother Don and Mary Lamer, in-laws: Lil Huisingh, Roger (Carol) Huisingh, Howard (Judy) Huisingh; and many nieces and nephews.
A time of visitation will be held 1:00-2:00 pm, Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Borculo Christian Reformed Church, 6444 96th Ave., Zeeland MI 49464. A service of celebration in honor Glenda will take place 2:15 pm, Saturday, April 13 also at Borculo CRC. Interment will be in Borculo Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to The Muscular Dystrophy Association, Grace Adventures (formerly Grace Youth Camp), or Paradise Bound Ministries.
