HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Apr. 5, 2024) – The search is on for a light-skinned black male with a thin build, wearing a black jacket, black jeans and a black face mask that didn’t hide dread locks and a red neck tattoo.
That’s the description a 14-year-old girl gave to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Deputies when they responded to an armed robbery report around 1 AM on Friday in the area of the Leisure Estates mobile home community off of Butternut Drive on Holland’s North Side. The unnamed victim had just completed taking a video for a social media app when the suspect approached with a black pistol, demanding money. He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, while the girl was apparently unharmed. Efforts to track the suspect through a Sheriff’s K-9 Unit were unsuccessful.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact Ottawa County Central Dispatch (800-249-0911) or Ottawa County Silent Observer (877-887-4536).
